Julia is a passionate field builder and bridge maker, who has worked with people across organizations and sectors, utilizing strategic grantmaking and impact investing to develop impactful solutions for pressing social issues for more than 5 years.
As a Philanthropy Solutions Consultant at Grantbook Julia supports foundations in their efforts to use technology tools and data to amplify their program work and to establish collaborations with their grantees that are based on trust.
She began her career at the international nonprofit Ashoka. Moving further into the sphere of social entrepreneurship and impact finance she became the Impact Investment Manager at the Scheuch Foundation where she headed the impact investing arm as well as their conservation entrepreneurship incubator. Julia also co-founded and managed Impact Investment Roundtables in Austria and Germany to connect established actors, foster strategic cooperation, and engage new impact investors. Prior to Grantbook she was a Senior Philanthropy Consultant at Wider Sense where she deepended her knowledge of trust-based philanthropy, participatory grantmaking, and impact investing through her work with foundations across Europe and North America.
