Hau brings to Grantbook an extensive knowledge of IT from a people, process, technology, and change perspective, having worked for over eleven years in the IT industry.
She began her career in corporate IT in New Brunswick, specializing in implementation and system administration. She went on to work for two value-added resellers as an IT solutions specialist, implementing on-premise solutions for small, medium and enterprise clients across Canada. Hau became adept at troubleshooting systems integration issues which required a breadth and depth of knowledge across application, operation system, storage, security and network.
After returning to school and earning her MBA, Hau was recruited into a graduate program, where she gained deeper insights into how large, complex organizations both respond to and resist change.
While on an extended career hiatus, Hau volunteered within the school system, deeply involved in fundraising, parent engagement and grantee activities. During this hiatus, she developed a deep appreciation for philanthropy, in all its forms, as essential to leveling the playing field for so many.
Her travels have taken her across Canada, U.S., UK, Europe, and Morocco. She is always happiest while on food adventures in the world’s markets or while people-watching in vibrant, public spaces.
